Directions to the celebration

Getting there

Hilton London Metropole
225 Edgware Road
London W2 1JU

Two stations are close by:

  • Paddington (Bakerloo, Circle, District, Elizabeth line and National Rail) is a 5 minute walk along Praed Street — turn left out of the station.
  • Edgware Road (Bakerloo line) and Edgware Road (Circle, District and Hammersmith & City lines) are close by. Be warned there are two exits, and the station can be confusing to navigate as several lines cross over there.

Parking

The hotel has an underground car park; places can be reserved through Just Park. This is advised as it does get booked up — it's also a fairly tight car park.

Important note: the car park lift will not be working on the day of the celebration — there will only be stair access.

The entrance to the car park is on the A40; be sure to take the hotel entrance exit — there is another "P" sign which can be confusing.

Finding the celebration from the main entrances

The celebration takes place in the Rooftop Event Space in the Tower Wing, on the 23rd floor.

There should be COSRT volunteers at reception and the lifts to help and guide you.

There are two entrances to the main reception area: one on the main Edgware Road, and one for taxi drop-offs.

  • The main reception area seen from the Edgware Road entrance, with a Hilton events screen dead ahead
From the Edgware Road entrance, turn right down the corridor. Note the screen dead ahead, which should list the COSRT Celebration.
  • Directional sign in the lobby pointing to the East Wing, Tower, West Wing, Bar, Restaurant and Concierge
From the taxi drop-off entrance, turn left down the corridor. Look for the signs pointing to the Tower.
  • The Tyburn Market cafe area, with a red annotation marking the lifts on the far side
You will be looking for the Tyburn Market cafe area. The lifts are on the far side of Tyburn Market, on the right. There is another set of lifts on the other side of the Market — they only go to guest rooms and not the 23rd floor, where the celebration is.
  • The Tower lifts seen from across Tyburn Market
This is the set of lifts you are looking for, seen from across Tyburn Market.
  • A > TOWER LIFTS sign above a lift, with a Hilton Today's Events screen beside it
Look for the "> TOWER LIFTS" signage and take this lift.
  • Lift floor panel showing 23 — Guestrooms, Rooftop Event Space
The panel outside the lift confirms it: floor 23, Guestrooms and Rooftop Event Space. Ride to 23.

On the 23rd floor

Once out of the lift, you will see the entrance to the room straight in front of you. Tricia Evans, or one of the team, will be there to greet you.

There is a flight of stairs up to the event room, which curves round (think Fred and Ginger). There is also a separate lift to the room if you need it. Note: you need to keep your finger on the call button and the button inside the lift, or it will stop — even if it is between floors.

Toilets

Toilets are at the foot of the stairs.

Finding the celebration from the car park

The car park has two levels, B1 and B2. If you have prebooked, the gates will open automatically, as it has number plate recognition.

There are some disabled parking places by the lift/stairs area, but these cannot be prebooked.

Once upstairs, you will be by the convention centre, which may or may not have an event running. Turn right down the main corridor. Go past Tyburn Kitchen and Bar. You will be looking for Tyburn Market Cafe. The lifts to the event on the 23rd floor are just before the cafe, to your left.

Access and other needs

The car park lift will not be working on the day of the celebration — there will only be stair access from the car park. The Tower lifts serve the Rooftop Event Space on the 23rd floor. If you have any access requirements, please mention them when you book — details on the event page — and the event team will help you find your way on the day.
